BEHIND THE SCENES
Recently worked with a FANTASTIC new team…
Photographer: Bryan Whitely
Styling: Jessica Moazami
Hair and Make Up: Jennifer Brown
Model: Katrina Hoernig at FACTOR WOMEN Model Management & DNA
The photos are a real departure for me, I wanted to try something different from my usual style –give it an edge, which you don’t often see in my photos. And I think they turned out INCREDIBLELY!
Thanks guys for doing such an AMAZING job!

FASHION CONFESSIONS: ALEXIS COZZINI Boutique Owner & Stylist
This Chicago native began her fashion career at the age of 15 working in a Lincoln Park store. Now 29, Alexis Cozzini, owns one of the City’s cutting-edge designer boutiques located in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast. During her ten years of fashion experience that includes working with luxury brands like Chanel, Intermix and Calvin Klein’s PR department, Alexis learned a few things about fashion retail. When she opened SARCA, Alexis knew she wanted it to be a place where you could find stylish, unique, high-quality pieces, from around the world. With collections from Markus Lupfer (Germany), Zimmermann (Australia), Pura Lopez (Spain), Coat People (Denmark) and Alice by Temperly (UK) –SARCA is a hot spot for Chicago’s fashionable jet setters.
WHAT’S YOUR FASHION ADDICTION?
Costume jewelry — I have so much of it it's not normal. Definitely qualifies as an addiction. I would rather spend money on jewelry than clothing. Not that I would ever not wear clothes...
HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE CHICAGO'S FASHION STYLE?
Chicago trends toward east coast style and life style. Woman and men here definitely know how to shop, know what they like, and know how to dress. We don't need to take it to an un-wearable extreme though. We're realistic about dressing, and we know how to look top notch.
WHOSE YOUR STYLE ICON?
I really love the way Olivia Palermo puts herself together. She can wear anything and it looks appropriate on her. Her style is on trend, she always looks impeccable, and nothing she wears is too over the top.
WHAT’S THE MOST PRIZED POSSESSION IN YOUR CLOSET?
All of my costume jewelry, I never part with any of it.
WHICH DESIGNERS DO YOU WORSHIP?
Marchesa, Alexander McQueen, and Rodarte. They have an extremely intricate and original aesthetic. They know how to make something incredible, make it a knock out, and make it wearable. The craftsmanship is unreal- and for that reason, the price tags for those designers make sense.
ONE THING YOU COULDN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
Pasta and my doggies.

BEAUTY CONFESSIONS: OLIVIA INGE Model and Beauty Writer
One of my favorite British models, Olivia Inge, started
her modeling career at 16. She endured her A-level studies in Somerset knowing that her holidays and half terms were to be spent being fabulous in Paris, strutting her stuff for legendary designers including Givenchy, Dior, Junya Watannabe and Alexander Mcqueen. Upon completion of her exams, she headed for the big lights of all the major fashion cities around the world. Olivia lived on and off in New York for 5 years, spent month long trips in Tokyo, shot with sharks in the Maldives for Japanese Vogue and tackled extreme corsetry with couture shows in Paris. Olivia now resides in London, her favorite city, where she continues to work as a model, writes about beauty products and treatments for Cult Beauty (an online beauty boutique) and has a hands on approach to healing the stressed souls of London through massage.
WHAT’S YOUR FASHION ADDICTION?I love Beatrix Ong and Mechante of London. Their approach to shoe design is stylish, chic and strangely comfortable, probably because those girls have the wisdom of Buddha when it comes to designing shoes. They (the shoes) are beautifully original and won't kill your feet.
WHOSE YOUR STYLE ICON?
Very hard to find anyone in this day and age who has that natural flare...I tend to look to the past. I love Marylin Monroe, Betty Page, Sophia Loren, my Great Aunt Sylvia and Liz Taylor's incredible jewelry and general fabulousness.
YOU FEEL MOST BEAUTIFUL WHEN?
When I have a slight tan, especially after coming back from somewhere hot and beautiful like the 4 Reasons Hotel in Turkey My sister and our friend Jess went there a few months ago for a much needed break. We spent most if it floating in the dreamy Aegean Sea.
BEST BEAUTY TIP YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?
What we put on our skin will be absorbed into the blood stream. Steer clear of chemicals that are known to be bad like sodium lauryl sulfate, which is a harsh chemical used as a foaming agent and placed in too many shower products. Do your homework; you'll be soo grateful in the long run as will your health.
WHICH DESIGNERS DO YOU WORSHIP?
There was only one designer I would bother dropping to my knees for and that was Alexander McQueen. Sniff...sniff :'(
I had the privilege of working with Olivia when I was living in London, above is a photo from our shoot. Photographer: Constantinos Tsiliacos
