SPOT THE DIFFERENCE!
Kim left the hotel with one set of accessories and arrived on the red carpet with another!
I love the original shoes, much cleaner and more elegant than the pair she ends up wearing, which I absolutely hate. It takes away from the clean lines of the dress. However the original belt is a little too chunky for the dress, the second belt is much more in keeping with the theme of event.
Kim took to her blog to explain. "Last night was an amazing time at the Met Gala," Kim began. "I was in love with my Lanvin strapless dress. Alber Elbaz helped Kanye and I get ready for the evening, which was a perfect fit because he also dressed us for the cover of Vogue. "It was such a tough decision on how to accessorize. I left the store with a chunky belt and leather cuffs. We were going back and forth for hours if the chunky belt was right. In the car on our way there we got a glimpse of the carpet, and I decided the accessories were a bit too 'rock n' roll' and I wanted to go for something more simple and elegant." So, she concluded, "I switched to a clean black satin belt and strappy heels at the last minute because to me it felt more classic and fit the Forties theme better. Kanye also liked it better too. Overall I thought it was the right decision and I loved the way everything came together. Xo."

2014 MET GALA
With the theme of 'White Tie and Decorations' – inspired by The Met’s new exhibition of Anglo-American couturier Charles James – the annual Met Gala is considered one of fashion's most glamorous event. It’s a return to old-school elegance, after last year’s punk theme. As always I find it fascinating to see people’s interpretation of theme.
Here are some great frocks and fun pics from the night.
