This fun trend has been popular with celebrities like Emma Stone and Jessica Lowndes (Image from InStyle.com). You might wonder ‘How do you wear this look?’ The key is to pair it with a neutral outfit as you don’t want anything competing with the shoes. I’ve made a selection of some great looks sticking to colors like black, white, beige, grey and navy.

TALKING TRENDS: The Clash
A big trend that’s carrying over from the summer is a clash of colors. A great look to give maximum impact during a time when the normal color palette of the season is usually subdued with blacks, greys and browns. This look has been huge both on the runway and with celebrities.
Runway images: Preen, Gucci, Marc Jacobs and Milly (InStyle.com)
Who’s been color blocking you might ask? Only Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Jessica Alba, Blake Liverly and Cameron Diaz, just to name a few.
HOW TO WEAR: Color Clashing Sarah Jessica Parker in a Prabal Gurung runway look gets it right by sticking to just two colors and by not over accessorizing she keeps it clean. Caped blouse, $750, Prabal Gurung available at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Fashion blogger, Blair Eadie (above), wears this trend brilliantly! She makes it work by only having small amounts of color and by pairing it with shades of neutral.(image: atlantic-pacific.blogspot.com) Jacket: DKNY. Dress (worn as skirt): Alexander Wang. Top: H&M. Socks: Madewell. Belt: J.Crew. Shoes: Luxury Rebel. Bag: YSL. Sunglasses: Karen Walker. Scarf: Ann Taylor.

GET THE LOOK: Leann Rimes
Spotted! Leann and her hubby landing in Washington DC on Thursday. I love this travel outfit, it’s stylish, chic and dare I say practical. What makes this look is her leopard print trilby. I’m not always a fan of animal print, however Leann does it perfectly by having just a single accessory in this bold and often intimidating print. If you love the outfit too but hate the price tag or it it’s sold out here’s how to…GET THE LOOK CLOCKWISE: Mid-rise skinny jeans, currently on sale $94 (originally $235), Helmut Lang at theoutnet.com. Belted asymmetrical coat, $1,730, Ann Demeulemeester available at Barneys – if this coat breaks the bank take a look at ‘Frieda’ by Reiss for $465. Pony leopard trilby hat, $12.50, Charlotte Russe. Brown suede ‘Bathanne’ boots, $199, Joan & David available at DSW.
