To celebrate the new flagship store on Michigan Avenue, Burberry asked streetstyle photographers Amy Creyer and Tim Klein to snap Chicagoans for Art of the Trench.
My fav pic from the series is of the legendary
Victor Skrebneski.
Burberry also threw a big bash last night to kick it all off! It was a night to remember and everyone was there including Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey and CEO, Angela Ahrendts.
It all started with the coveted golden ticket!
A few party snaps…
Raining confetti!
With the coolest man in Fashion, Christopher Bailey.

You can also see the photos from Art of the Trench around town at different bus stops. Maria Ponce Berre graces the Huron stop just a stone's throw from the new store.
And a BIG thank you goes to Skoog for the invite!

FASHION CONFESSIONS: BRANDON SUN Fashion Designer
Brandon Sun, an up-and-coming designer from New York graduated Parsons as ‘Designer of the Year’ and trained with some of the best in industry. After college Brandon joined J Mendel and within five short years was promoted from Design Assistant to Designer, working closely with Gilles Mendel himself. It was here Brandon was able to hone his skills in both tailoring and fur. In 2009 he was snapped up by Oscar de la Renta to be his new Design Director of fur and help bring a modern edge to the brand. This past year saw Brandon launch his ready-to-wear and fur collection with both his fall/winter and spring/summer designs presented at Mercedes Benz Fashion week. I had the opportunity to meet and work with him when he came to Chicago to showcase his latest collections at Neiman Marcus. Remember his name, as he is definitely one to watch!

WHAT ARE YOU ADDICTED TO?
Papa John’s and ice cream.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT LIVING IN NY?
The accessibility, the people, the energy, the culture, the garment district and all the people who help make my dream a reality.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
The word I’ve been using is insouciant.
WHAT DOES FASHION MEAN TO YOU?
It’s a lifestyle, a way of life. It should apply to the furniture you buy, the candles that you light, the food that you eat, the people that you hang out with, the art that you collect and the clothes that you wear.
ONE THING YOU COULDN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
My trench coat.
WHAT’S YOUR SPRING COLLECTION INSPIRED BY?
It’s inspired by the idea of Zen. That’s something I’ve been investigating more and more. My first collection was based on ninja and Kung-Fu assassins but even the root in that is the beauty and essence of Zen.
Fashion Junkie with Brandon Sun.
Thank you Trés Awesome for taking such a fab picture.

FASHION CONFESSIONS: LAUREL BERMAN Designer of Black Halo
Laurel Berman grew up where fashion wasn’t really an option nor was it a realistic avenue to pursue. It was only after she graduated from college that she decided to follow her true love of fashion. Laurel set about creating a brand, Black Halo, that’s synonymous with beauty and modern-day style. Her most famous dress, Jackie O, is tailored and structured beautifully for a woman’s body. Which is why everyone loves them including Kim Kardashian, Oliva Wilde and Lauren Conrad. As an ever growing and evolving designer, Laurel keeps presenting new shapely silhouettes and draping styles that both reference and reinvent classic glamour with sex appeal.
‘Jackie O’ dress, $530, by Black Halo available at Neiman Marcus.
WHAT’S YOUR FASHION ADDICTION?
Shoes. That’s how I get dressed I start with the shoes and that goes with my mood. Maybe that’s why my addiction is shoes, there's so many moods you can keep buying shoes for all your different moods.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT LIVING IN LA?
The weather.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
Versatile… I’m all over the place. Again it’s all about the mood. I can pull off a lot of different looks. I love pushing boundaries and hate be ordinary I never want to be plain, never want to be the girl next door I always wants some edge.
WHOSE YOUR STYLE ICON?
I owe it all to Jackie O
YOU FEEL MOST BEAUTIFUL WHEN?
I’d have to say after a yoga class.
ONE THING YOU COULDN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
Yoga and my amazing husband.
