SWAROVSKI COCKTAIL PARTY FOR SAIC'S THE WALK 2012
Between meetings, photo-shoots, blogging & writing I found time to do a little fashion socializing in my new hometown of Chicago with a fellow Londoner also turned Chicagoan, Andrea Fulerton (Founder of Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique). We attended a FAB Swarovski/SAIC cocktail party at the Michigan Ave flagship boutique — where we got snapped! Which I honestly believe was all down to Andrea’s amazing Joseph Technicolor Dreamcoat (actually vintage Versace). This coat could do no wrong! She was complemented wherever we went, well played Andrea.

Swarovski invited Nick Cave (Art Institute Fashion Department chair) and some of his students to create a window installation to kick-off SAIC Fashion Show 2012 and THE WALK 2012.
It was definitely the place to be and be seen for the Über stylish and talented including Erica Strama (Senior Marketing Manager for the Shops at North Bridge), Carrie Lannon (Director of Public Relations for ULTA Beauty and Chair for In-Fashion) Candace Jordan (Model/Actress/Playboy centerfold turned fashion and society blogger), Kelli Zink (Host of CelebTV.com) and fashion bloggers Emma Arnold (Très Awesome) and Amy Cryer (Chicago Street Style).

THE MAD MEN (AND WOMEN) ARE BACK!
The show that defines style returns to our screens, after an eighteen-month hiatus, on March 25th! The series’ huge popularity has sparked a strong resurgence in this distinct 60’s retro look. In honor of the show’s return both Banana Republic and Estée Lauder have launched Mad Men® inspired collections.
Designed in collaboration with the show’s costume designer, Janie Bryant, it’s Banana Republic’s second Mad Men® collection. The 40-piece capsule wardrobe is inspired by the show’s country club scenes and reinterprets the 1960’s silhouettes for the modern day.
